Lottie’s Story - A Brave Girl Who Just Wants a Chance

Lottie was born in July 2021, during a time when the world was still dealing with the effects of COVID. From very early on, her mum knew something wasn’t right. Lottie wasn’t meeting the milestones other babies her age were reaching - but again and again, her concerns were brushed aside.

She was told to wait.

She was told not to worry.

She was told it was probably just delays caused by lockdowns.

By the time Lottie was 8 months old, her mum was still pushing to be heard. Only then was Lottie finally referred to consultants - after months of worry, doubt and being made to feel like she was overreacting.

Then came the moment that changed everything.

Just after Lottie had turned one, her parents received a phone call they will never forget. They were at a wedding - trying to enjoy a rare moment of normality - when they were told, over the phone, that their baby had Level 5 Cerebral Palsy, the most severe form of the condition. Alongside this, Lottie was also diagnosed with a genetic chromosome deficiency, making her challenges even more complex.

There was no quiet room.

No face-to-face conversation.

No time to process the words before life was suddenly divided into before and after.

Today, Lottie can’t walk. She can’t talk. She has very limited movement and becomes frustrated because her bright, determined little mind is trapped in a body that won’t do what she wants it to do. But anyone who spends time with Lottie will tell you - she is a fighter. She wants to move. She wants to communicate. She wants to try.

That’s why were fundraising.

The money raised will go towards essential specialist equipment and therapies that aren’t fully funded - things that could help Lottie strengthen her body, improve her mobility, and give her the best possible quality of life. Equipment like specialist walkers and therapy machines may not cure her condition, but they could open up a world of possibility.

Lottie didn’t get the early support she should have had. But together, we can help make sure she doesn’t miss out on what comes next.

Please consider buying a ticket, making a donation, or sharing Lottie’s story. Every single bit of support helps more than you know.
